Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cost?
The event is free.

Can I get a certification card?
There is actually no CPR certification any longer, except for Healthcare Providers. You want your doctors, nurses and EMS personnel to get tested on this stuff regularly. The complete course is beyond the scope of the event. It is targeted to give people the most essential skills and information to Save A Life.

Can I bring my children?
Kids are welcome. They may not be able to perform all of the skills, but you might be surprised how well they do.

What will I learn?
The content includes adult CPR, child CPR, infant CPR, kid safety, and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Don’t let the AED scare you, it is really easy.

Who is sponsoring the event?
Save-A-Life has been made possible by the contributions and dedication of the Annapolis Fire Department, Anne Arundel Medical Center, Anne Arundel Fire Department, Anne Arundel Community College, Anne Arundel Health Department, Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute, Starbucks and Whole Foods.
