Mission

Save-A-Life Annapolis CPR Day is a community CPR event targeting Annapolis area citizens.

Our goal is to increase the knowledge and skills of the general public to perform CPR and Public Access Defibrillation.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the leading cause of death in the United States. There are approximately 325,000 deaths from Sudden Cardiac Arrest each year. It has been shown that rapid initiation of CPR by bystanders significantly increases the chance of survival of the cardiac arrest victim. There is often reluctance on the part of bystanders to initiate CPR. The likelihood of bystander CPR initiation is significantly increased with exposure to CPR training.

Save-A-Life Annapolis is a partnership of healthcare organizations in Annapolis with the sole purpose of educating the public in life saving techniques. This partnership exists through the commitments of these organizations to work together toward the common goal of improving cardiac arrest survival.

Heroes aren't born, they're made.
